Position 2/4/6: SPD or ATK/ATK/Crit Dmg SP Arakawa is positioned as a DPS even though he has a bit of everything so we’ll mainly focus on offensive Souls and stats. Shadow is a very obvious choice for his strong single target attack. With Isolation in his skill means he doesn’t care about Hakuzosu or Shouzu. Other support souls suchs as Jizo Statue or Fortune Cat can be used in slower teams so he’s more functional. For fast teams, he can just focus on ATK and C. Dmg since his teammates can help him get a turn. For slower teams, I would build SPD in slot 2 so he can pull himself without the help of allies. Since he comes with 20% critical, using Critical Damage at slot 6 should not be an issue for most players. |

Sample Team |
||||
Bake-kujira, Divine Miketsu, Waverider Arakawa. Higabana, Hiyoribo, with Yao Bikuni
Bake, SP Arakawa, and Higabana are all sources of damage output in this team. I would suggest using a healer if you use SP Arakawa. While his skills are wonderful when they trigger, allies need to heal back once HP drops. |
Shikigami Comparison |
||||
Not a whole lot of similarity between Waverider Arakawa and other Shikigamis. He’s quite different from his SSR counterpart. More like a jack of all trades |

I have Waverider Arakawa but haven’t leveled him up yet. Gameplay to come |
Verdict |
||||
Waverider Arakawa is rarely used in the current meta.
That being said, he is used in some Bosses for his strong single attack. For PvP, he is outclassed by other DPS so he’s often not the ideal attacker in many cases. Unless you really like SP Arakawa, I wouldn’t invest too much in him just yet. If you do have to use him, make sure to bring some type of healing otherwise the team would be too fragile. Also remember he takes a bit of time to warm up. |
